We Opted For Non-Traditional Holiday Decor & It Was EVERYTHING!

Happy Holidays! What better way to amplify your holiday spirit than with a festive holiday party? During the season we are all about incorporating festive elements in to our designs. We love to work with our clients on achieving their ultimate holiday party goals. Often times, our clients opt for traditional holiday décor in red, white and green, which is always a fun and sentimental way to celebrate the holiday. This year, we had several clients that wanted to leave the traditions behind and embrace unique color and design for their holiday events. Two of these clients were Too Faced Cosmetics and Lindsi Lane Watts. We had such a fun time thinking out-of-the-box and playing with color and texture to create non-traditional holiday looks. We’re breaking down both of these events and highlighting the ways in which these brands said goodbye to traditional holiday décor and hello to unique and unexpected design.

Too Faced Cosmetic’s Pink Christmas

About the event: Too Faced Cosmetics hosted a glamorous Pink Christmas Slumber Party at Manhattan’s iconic Plaza Hotel. In attendance were a hand-picked crew of some of social media’s most recognized influencers like Gabi DeMartino, Kenny Screven, and Jordyn Woods. Of course, a Pink Christmas Slumber Party would not be complete without  Santa decked out in a Pink Santa suit!

Larger than Life Installation

We helped create and bring Too Faced Cosmetic’s Pink Christmas Slumber Party to life with an over-flowing gift-filled photo moment. Incorporating a large installation into your event is a great way to create an a show-stopping moment that will encourage guests to snap and share photos. We wrapped all of the gifts in – you guessed it – pink wrapping paper to tie in with the night’s theme. The influencers loved snapping photos among the presents which helped Too Faced Cosmetic’s gain social traction the night of the event.

Holiday Garland in an Unexpected Color Scheme

Wrap your banisters in unconventional holiday garland! Garland is a typical holiday décor item that brings life and warmth into a space. We incorporated garland into Too Faced Cosmetic’s Pink Christmas Slumber Party by keeping the garland within the same color scheme and aesthetic. The staircase presented an overflowing floral garland using peonies, garden roses, hydrangeas and ruscus.

Lindsi Lane Watts’ Friendsgiving Blogger Brunch

About the Event: This holiday season Lindsi Lane Watts – self-proclaimed “girl’s girl” – decided to throw a day filled with brunch and bellinis for her ladies! Nothing says R&R more than some bellinis, mimosas, overflowing tablescapes, and good company.  In attendance were some of Instagram’s favorite fashion influencers like Marni Harvey, Tezza, and Christie Ferrari.  Lindsi wanted to give herself and her girls a little break from work by hosting the ultimate Friendsgiving blogger brunch. We helped Lindsi achieve a holiday-themed tablescape while staying true to her personal style.

Rose Gold for Holiday Décor

One color trend that recently took the industry by storm was the use of rose gold. Rose gold seems to have been one of 2018’s hottest décor/color trends and continues to dominate our field of vision. Lindsi Lane is a huge fan of rose gold and wanted to incorporate the color into her tablescape design. We utilized colors in our flower arrangements that would complement her rose gold balloons and décor.

Mix and Match Patterns and Textures

Lindsi has an impeccable black and white marble dining room table that she complemented with contrasting patterned plates. We contrasted these bold patterns with textured vases in varying heights to create even more dimension to the tablespace. Because there were so many competing patterns, we kept the florals delicate and soft as way to soften the overall look.
