5 Ways to Incorporate NYFW Trends in Your Next Event

New York Fashion Week just wrapped up, and we are loving the trends expected in FW 2016. As inspiration runs parallel in the design industry, we saw texture, color and metals used that translates to event design. Check out the roundup below of our NYFW recap and how we used florals to mirror the latest trends:

FRINGE

A trend that has seen the runway for a few seasons now, fringe can be incorporated into your event. Use fringed elements as decor, or opt for fringed tulips as an alternative to more traditional flowers. These exotic blooms provide a unique and chic touch to a tablescape or bar arrangement.

COLOR BLOCKING

Color blocking comes and goes, but you can most certainly expect to see color blocking (everywhere) during FW 2016. Use color blocking at your event as a branding option, or decorate your table with a colorful display for guests.

METALLICS

Metallics are a great way to grab attention at an event. We love to place blooms in a metallic vase as a subtle statement for a table or bar arrangement. Pair metallic vases with pale pink or yellow flowers as a soft contrast.

VIBRANT COLORS

Bold, daring, and bright dominated the runway, and we want to see this more in events. Is your company color muted? Give it life and try boosting it at an event with a vibrant color!

TEXTURE

Velvet, satin, fringe, and fur were used together (or alone) as statements during NYFW. We loved seeing how a variation of fabrics and materials came together to add dimension and depth to a collection. You can use the same concept in floral and event design, using different elements together to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
